As Chief Financial Officer, Tom Powell is responsible for the financial operations and reporting for Golden Oval Eggs, LLC and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
           
Mr. Powell served as Interim CFO from October 2006 until his appointment as Chief Financial Officer in August 2007. In announcing the appointment, President and Chief Executive Officer Dana Persson stated, “I am pleased that Tom Powell has committed toserve as Chief Financial Officer of Golden Oval Eggs.  During his interim CFO tenure, Tom became well-acquainted with both the company and the current challenging industry environment.  With extensive career experience, he has proven himself a valuable member of our team.

“Particularly, his background in providing financial leadership in poultry, foodservice and consumer packaged goods, along with fifteen years of Fortune 150 company experience, complements our Senior Leadership Team,” said Mr. Persson. “Tom has brought with him significant experience in providing strategic financial planning and operational support to companies in the food industry.  Besides Golden Oval, he has helped several companies successfully handle the demands of acquisition, integration and rapid growth in competitive marketplaces.”

Previously, Mr. Powell served as Chief Financial Officer for The Steak-Umm Company, Inc., a provider of frozen sliced beef to the grocery and mass merchandise trade.Also, Mr. Powell remains a partner of Tatum, LLC, the nation’s largest and fastest growing executive services firm.

Mr. Powell holds an A.B. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School.
