Abbeville, AL

Built in 1970, the Abbeville plant covers approximately 90,000 square feet, 30,000 of which are temperature controlled freezers and finished product coolers. The plant has multiple production platforms including egg breaking, pasteurizing and drying, and a wide range of packaging lines in addition to producing the Land O’Lakes® branded retail products. This is the largest of Golden Oval Eggs second stage processing operations.

Norco,CA

Located in Riverside County, CA, this plant sub-leases space within an egg grading facility operated by its former owner. Its operations include breaking, pasteurization, freezing, tote packaging, pail packaging for Norco, and hard cooked processing (See the popular retail hardboiled egg and deviled egg products at www.norcoeggs.com).

Vernon, CA

Located adjacent to Los Angeles, this leased plant performs breaking and pasteurizing operations, packaging and refrigerated and frozen storage. More than half of the pounds annually processed at this site are liquid bought in from egg breakers in the Midwest. This plant specializes in processing organic and cage-free eggs, and distributes a unique self-contained refrigerated tote to small volume customers.

Neosho, MO

The Neosho, Missouri plant was originally built by Kraft Foods and since the late 1980’s has produced products principally under the “Classic” trade name. This plant is a first stage breaker and further processor of blended sugared and salted yolks, as well as totes, frozen, and additional value-added products. It produces tote and pail packaging for retail and bakery customers. It operates six days a week, sixteen hours per day. The Missouri plant has approximately 50 employees.

 

This leased facility is located about 60 miles southwest of Akron, Ohio. The plant produces liquid eggs and has breaking, pasteurization and freezing capacities.
