Additionally, a United States Department of Agriculture official is on site preceding, during, and after egg breaking.

Layer Flocks
Day-to-day flock mortality is deposited in freezers on site until disposed of at a pre-approved compost site in compliance with environmental regulations. Essentially every aspect of poultry production at Golden Oval Eggs that does not become a food product is recycled as feed or plant food. After approximately two years, flocks are sold to further processors for meat production.
